At J&C Advisors, we understand the basic principle of finance that states that debt should not upstage business strategy. It is on the basis of this basic business principle that we decided to set up Radiance Fund – a Venture Capital fund with strong focus on small to medium scale Ghanaian owned businesses that have capacity to scale up if they had access to patient capital. We do not have intention to keep majority stake in our investee companies and our equity investment threshold is a maximum of Five Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis holding per investment retaining between 15%-49% stake in our investee company.
We maintain close touch with our investee companies by assisting with strategy, operational efficiencies, execution and bottom-line management. Our horizon for investments is up to 10 years within which depending on our assessment of value created, we plan and exit our investee companies. It is our preferred exit strategy to offer back to promoters/existing shareholders first beyond which we consider other exit strategies including but not limited to Private Placement, Initial Public Offer, Mergers & Acquisitions, Outright Sale etc.
